Tudni, hogy nincsen cél, tudni, hogy nincs Isten, félni, hogy talán még igazság sincsen, tudni: az ész rövid, az akarat gyenge, hogy rá vagyok bízva a vak véletlenre. És makacs reménnyel mégis, mégis hinni, hogy amit csinálok, az nem lehet semmi. És örülni tudni a nagy megnyugvásnak, a fájdalmat, örömet gyógyító halálnak..
